Thats funny. Im reading a book now by an anthropologist called ‘bullshit jobs’. Basically the main thesis is that most white collar work is make up work because the elite don’t want to just give people handouts. He talks about how unnatural the process of modern work is to a human. Its a great book so far.

Well you bring up a very contentious issue about how you measure inflation. I think the CPI is not a reasonable one for someone with high net worth assets. The forbes requirement going up 20 times shows a lot of things, and one of them is that someone worth $400m in 1985 is roughly worth so many billion relative to others in the wealth distribution. A better way would to be to compare the exact percentile in 1985 and the exact percentile today and judge inflation that way as a relative phenomenon.
At the top of the Forbes 400 it’s even more striking. In 1982 $2 billion made you the richest American (according to Forbes). In 2020 you needed $179 billion to hold that title.
Of course the population increased & Forbes got better & better at finding hidden wealth both making the list more competitive every year, but those factors only partly explain it

It pushes the out of Africa expansion to 120,000 years ago. And it actually does little to support your original narrative that negroids are an “ancient” phenotype.
The Negroid phenotype is anywhere from 300 kya to 70 kya, depending on whether you consider Bushmen Negroid and which mutation rate you use.

It’s based on the totality of morphology inherited from a common ancestor. If pygmies are more similar to Negroids than they are to any other race, then they get classified as Negroid. Your quote described a Negroid skull but did not compare it to a Bantu skull using the same measures. By contrast my evidence that pygmies and Bantu are the same race is that they’ve been lumped together by every phenotypic taxonomy I’ve seen including Meyers Konversations-Lexikon, Blumenbach, Coon, & Rushton. If you define taxa by DNA then no taxa (race, species, kindom) can ever be ancient because DNA changes too rapidly for any extant group to have an ancient genotype. I define taxa as all descendants of a common ancestor who share that ancestor’s phenotype.
