Howard Gardner argued that there was not one, but seven different intelligences. Each one can be exemplified by a historical Genius who changed the trajectory of history:

One intelligence or many?
If there are seven different intelligences, why do IQ tests mostly just measure the first three (or four) with some only measuring the first?
As my high school Chemistry teacher told me so many years ago, “when you talk about intelligence, there are so many different parts to it…if you want a single umbrella to cover all of intelligence” (stretching out his arms to convey the vastness of it, “then it’s the ability to adapt: to take whatever situation you’re in, and turn it around to your advantage. That’s really what intelligence is”
Those words are burned into my brain.
So it’s mostly the first half of these intelligences (logical, verbal, spatial and perhaps social) that have helped us adapt as a species and turned the World to our advantage. Without the logical ability to create science, the spatial ability to create technological and the verbal/socal ability to communicate, we’d still be in the stone age. The other intelligences are useful, but perhaps not as much as the first three or four, so it’s not surprising that the Wechsler IQ tests have empathized logical-mathematical ability (Arithmetic, Matrix Reasoning, Figure Weights), verbal ability (Vocabulary, Similarities), spatial ability (Block Design, Object Assembly) , social understanding (Comprehension, Picture Arrangement). Only one subtest measures bodily-kinesththetic (Digit-Symbol), and none have ever measured intrapersonal or musical talents.
And notice that the most useful abilities seem to load most on the general factor of all cognitive abilities known as g. Perhaps g is simply how much of the brain an ability uses, and the abilities using more of the brain must have been useful or expensive brain mass would not have evolved to support them.
And the most g loaded ability of all is abstract reasoning and that’s also the most adaptable because the abstract transcends the specific context and allows you to solve a problem in universal form. Knowing one apple plus one apple equal two apples allows you to thrive in the orchard. but knowing x + y = z allowed us to leave our African Garden of Eden and reach for the starts.
If you’re good at math, then you are good at logic, and it you’re good at logic, you can be good at almost everything, because the universe is intrinsically logical.

That’s why one needs to only focus on things that are widely regarded as being successful should be representative of whatever consumption is most popular at that time. I’ve been watching videos about law school admissions. It’s a bit disturbing. Two lawyers who attended prestigious schools talked about how they studied for the LSAT. One of them said he initially scored VERY LOW. But then he took every single practice exam ever issued, and attended a $2000 prep class. After his practice, he consistently scored in the 99th percentile.
The other person, a young black woman, said you should treat practicing for the LSAT like a full, 9-5, job. She said she definitely didn’t score in the 170s to begin with, and it was a long and arduous process. It sounded like she particularly had trouble with the section called “logic games.” But she was able to get her score up and attend a prestigious school.
The college board denies the SAT is very coachable but the SAT is not the LSAT & the college board has a vested interest in denying it
I did some SAT prep and didn’t improve much. But I did maybe like 40-60 hours of prep total. If someone did 8 hours a day for months I find it hard to imagine they wouldn’t improve. Maybe in the same way cab drivers get better at navigating. I find it hard to believe people wouldn’t see massive increases in ANY intelligence test if they trained 8 hours a day for months. Maybe even reaction time. But I’m just speculating, I don’t know the research on training for IQ tests.

Anyways, coming back to Howard Gardener, I think I’m very intelligent in some aspects and very deficient in others.
A genuine artist is like a child who know about its own finitude. Artists feel more the reality than understand, and religion was built based on this discrepancy. Artists play more with reality, as well me. I play with reality of details just like a child, to know, often in superficial way, to forget them in the next day. I need more to play with this scientific reality than to understand it.
I did a Cambridge Brain Science tests, and i has been horrible in memory and spatial skills [sub-tests]. My verbal was not good either but i always score above average on reasoning. The test is basically divided on memory, verbal and reasoning. While i was doing the test, after several times ago in another days, the same thing happened, my hearing was paying attention to any noise and broke my full attention to the test. But, i thought even i had doing the test in isolated place, without any minimal noise, i would not be very good on memory.
I believe my autobiographical memory is more significant than my semantic, or my semantic is very concentrated in some areas, and seems there is some or more close relationship between both. I no have exactly a superb autobiographical memory but i have impulsivity to use it, more or at the same level than semantic.
My spatial skills are horrible. I don’t know about my verbal skills, in ortography, in my mother tongue, i’m great, with very few mistakes and with awareness about what is likely to be wrongly and correctly wrote, but my grammar is not at the same level. Because i has been immersed in my active introspection, playing with the act to observe and to know, i slighly under-developed my verbal skills, and know i thought they are fullfilled.

Theres a passage in the book ‘Invisible Man’ by Ralph Ellison about meeting a older white woman socialite who invited him back to her home to fetishsize him.
