Some random thoughts:
Black national merit scholar G-man mentioned some claims by Jordan Peterson (why is everyone suddenly talking about him?) about the uselessness of people below 83 IQ (below 80 is what he means, since that’s about the 10th percentile below which you can’t qualify for the military).
The fact that the armed forces, despite its desperate need for recruits, would turn away the bottom 10% of the IQ distribution is a testament to the incredible validity of IQ. If IQ were merely measuring social class, why would a low score make you completely useless during times of war?
The man interviewing Peterson suggests that with enough education and training, low IQ people could eventually become adaptable creative problem solvers, but Peterson is having none of it, saying the research is crystal clear.
I also saw this interesting discussion about slavery:
As a little kid I believed whites just walked into Africa and started catching blacks in traps, much like humans do to animals. Believing blacks were dehumanized in this way, makes it easy for people to believe in HBD.
However as I got older I read that in most cases blacks were sold into slavery. It would be interesting to also look at the Arab slave trade. J.P. I also saw this interesting video by Jesse Lee Peterson about Hillary’s recent visit to India. Not only did she make controversial comments there, but according to Peterson, she kept losing her physical balance. I hope she’s okay.
It’s easy to say she should just retire and enjoy her grandkids, but when you’re entire identity (FOR DECADES) has been people claiming you’ll be the first woman president, and then to come so close to achieving that dream twice (only to have it snatched away both times) is traumatic. I’m not sure how much this over-protection phenomenon was purely an American thing, but it seems it largely was. Also, increasing suburbanization probably had something to do with it to, since it became pretty much impossible for people to get around without cars due to changes in housing development patterns.

Re: your last paragraph: my personal experience and plenty of anecdotal and non-anecdotal data says the opposite…many suburban developments built since the 1970s, and particularly in the lead-up to the real estate collapse in 2008, were car-oriented and non-pedestrian friendly, discouraging people from going walking and playing in their neighborhoods for recreation.
I’m personally a fan of cities vs. suburbs and rural areas, but I definitely see why some prefer non-urban areas.

I guess being able to manipulate others and detect manipulation is a sign of not being autistic but if you piss people off all the time you will never learn to indirectly get people to do what you want because of reciprocity. I’ve got’s the kitty autisms so I decided to write this.
When I was little I had very little parental attachment. I remember that my mom talked to me and I learned to speak but there was no emotion behind it all. She was detached from treating me as an individual and more as a pet. And not a pet that you dote on but is just there that you feed and buy toys but never talk to if they were individuals that could form their own uniqueness. My mom had friends but she mostly is unresponsive to anything you say to her. I ask why so quiet, she says I am not a talker.
Because I had no real attachment instead I was drawn to the character on TV the cartoon characters and TV characters. Comic book characters. They were the only ones I empathized with since I had no attachments in the real world. The world was empty to me because I was empty on the inside. I had no one to share these empty feelings with so on the weekends when the cartoons were over I would just be in my room listless and empty. Thinking over and over my books and ideas until I just sat in bed having done all I could do. Emptiness at sunset and sitting in bed and night.
Now myself I am afraid to make attachments because I can detect in people things I cannot trust. Just things, the sides of people that are not accepting and are judgemental, negative detachment i.e. indifference. Since I cannot be close to anyone at the moment I have been over the past 12 years wishing for the world transformation. Where the people in the comic book become real where the video game worlds become real the cartoon worlds and characters become real.
The only time a real person made me feel like I had a real connection was when in 2009 that girl looked me in the eyes. No indifference, no Judgmentalneness but a gentle feminine detachment. The emptiness was positive, not negative. Happy emptiness not sad, full not void. In those eyes, she saw my soul in my eyes. That is why I have for 9 years have not found any eyes like that, because they are rare. No many are mature on a soul level. If I met a person like that again we would automatically know. The soul would be in our eyes.
Depression prevents you from doing certain things. When I am not on my medication I can sleep 18 hours a day. Not having attachments is also draining because you have no security when you feel insecure. You have no one to talk to because you have no one to trust. No one understands you. You have to hold it all inside and helplessness paralyzes you. But just momentarily, then you move on but it grinds on you 5-6 times a day. You just need to stop before you do anything else and the feeling is still in the background.
The inability to make attachments drains too much energy.
But I can only get so far with people, I cannot be my true self with anyone.
I just have to wait for eyes with my soul.
