According to wordpress statistics, when I founded this blog in 2014, about 9,773 unique visitors stopped by sometime during the year. At the time I wasn’t famous, so the fact that nearly 10,000 people a year were already reading my blog was a huge thrill!
Then in 2015 the unthinkable happened. A mind blogging 140,844 people read my blog! Well, I’ve peaked I thought. It’s all downhill from here.
Then in 2016 a STRATOSPHERIC 334,202 people read my blog.
And in 2017, I’ve come dangerously close to the half million mark, with 406,170 readers.
I’d like to thank each and every one of you!
And a special thanks to all my great guest bloggers and prolific commenters, without whom this blog would be a much less interesting place!

i’m such a nerd i have never taken any non-prescription drug except alcohol, mj, tobacco, and caffeine. i’ve only tried mj. it was gay. i couldn’t tell if i was high or not. and i smoked cigarettes for a year.
the evil thing about some street drugs is first that they’re addictive. the second evil is true only of heroin afaik, namely that unintentional overdose is a yuge risk. a very few also have an allergic reaction to cocaine. but prescription drugs kill people with an allergy too. and cocaine is not physically addictive.
the war on non-addictive, non-toxic drugs makes no sense. if i were as paranoid as chomsky i’d think the war is waged by capital in order to assure a compliant proletariat.
the wise thing to do is not make it a crime to be a douche bag, that is tax and regulate vices like drugs, gambling, and prostitution. but also realize that people turn to these vices largely because the economy is failing them.
