A while back I was delighted to learn that my estimate for Elon Musk’s IQ had proven spot-on and now I discovered I was also spot-on for Jeff Bezos. I discovered a Washington Post article from Sept 2, 2000 in which Bezos states he scored 1450 on the SAT. Given that Bezos was born in 1964, he would have likely took the SAT in 1981. I’ve estimated that if all American 17-year-olds (including high school dropouts) had taken the SAT in the 1980s, the mean would have been 787 and the SD would have been 220. Thus Bezos score was +3.01 SD or IQ 145 (U.S. norms) (144 U.S. white norms).
But nearly seven years before I knew his SAT score, I estimated his IQ based on an anecdote.
Back in July 2017 I wrote:

There’s a lot of reasons these guys do well. 140s is not even that high I certainly have traits in that area!
poor Pill probably works as a male concubine 4 this guy!

It’s not hers to give.
Hey, can you write a post about the SDs of male and female Ashkenazi Jews (western, preferably british or american)? The hopeless romantic in me wants to know how many 150+ ashkenazi jewish women at or above the age of 18 there are in the most dateable regions
As always, keep up with the great blog. Would love to see you post more
The only data I’ve ever seen on Ashkenazi SD was from wordsum which is not a very reliable test and it was sex-combined.
PP I want to see your IQ estimate for Gus Fring
“This tells us Bezos math IQ was much lower than the top four math students of his Princeton graduating class.”
PP, he said nothing about his “Princeton graduating class”. He was talking about his quantum physics class of 30 people, not Princeton’s entire yearly throughput.
Do you realize how far this decreases the estimate of Bezos’ IQ? If anything, 145 is probably about the IQ of those people Bezos described as being wired differently.
Their math IQ would be much higher than 145 & that’s what’s relevant when math is being used to measure g.
Would it be? How do you know? Your estimate of 161 was for the smartest people out of Princeton’s yearly graduation output of 1100, not for the smartest four of 30 people in one class.
But virtually all the top math talent at Harvard probably takes that class so they’re not a random sample of 30 Harvard students.
That’s a non-sequitur. They would almost certainly have a higher average IQ than would a random sample of 30 students, but that does not mean they would be the smartest 30 in the yearly graduating class. Nor does it mean that the smartest 4 in the class would be the smartest 4 in the yearly graduating class. You probably would not take this class unless you were a physics major, and I don’t think physics majors even have as high of an average IQ as pure math majors do.
Steve Ballmer was 2nd in his Harvard dorm at a Puntman contest and 57th in the country.
Ballmer like Gates was one of the 4,308,000 Americans born circa 1956, and assuming almost all of the top math talent from his cohort went on to compete in the 1974 Putman (and whatever shortfall was made up by top foreign talent and by older and younger talent), then Ballmer’s score equates to one in 76,000 level or math IQ 163.
Meanwhile Gates ranked #10 in the nation on an 8th grade math test (IQ 168), but “only” 10th in the dorm at the Puntman math test.
Thus I don’t find it implausible that the best students in Bezos’s Princeton physics class would have math IQs in the 160s.
Bezos was probably speaking about Physics 102 wich is a second semester 1Y class at Princeton. It would be the equivalent, however easier to math55b at Harvard or many other classes like those notably a Chicago or Stanford who like to have a challenging science class for wizz kids. He doesn’t remember his math because an answer can’t be just cosine (of what ?) even if it can be 0 or 1. It was probably Schrödinger equation at that introductory level.
I agree with Pumpkin that all Math talent at Princeton – even not interested in Physics – would join the class because of the “status” of this class among scientists. So Probably this Sri lankan Yosantha was at >150.
Sri Lanka participate to Math Olympiad since only 1995 (so long after 1984). But it has never had a candidate reaching gold or silver.
Taiwan with the same population had 44 gold and 103 silver,
so my guess chances he would be above 165 in math are very low.
my guess this Yosanta is around 150-165. Subtract 15 points for Bezos.
My guess 142/143 is not far from PP guess.
When I took Calculus 2 at a well-known Tier 1 university (everyone here has heard of it), the instructor bemoaned that a non-negligible proportion of students would get an answer that looked something like:
tan(Θ)
and then either divide by tan to get Θ/tan(), or divide by theta to just leave tan(). That is a math IQ of 120 for you.
manipulating symbols like that has always come easy 2 me. I did well in math throughout my life but it’s interesting that a lot of math is spatial rotation of symbols. Or something 2 that effect.
I don’t think it’s that hard 2 manipulate symbols but obviously I can do it in my head faster than some people can do it on paper and that’s what differentiates people.
mathematics is about meticulously following rules and absorbing heuristics and such.
however I’d say higher level math requires coming up with new rules or demonstrating the skill of making hard things simple.
pill thought I was 160 at some point but my working memory is low
I think I am more likely to be 120 composite but we would need accurate samples. I do believe pumpkin is 8 times faster than I am (140).

I never once said you had a 160IQ. Never. You keep saying I say things I never say. This is the 10th time you said I said something that never happened.
“Anime and Bruno”
Bruno has a 170 IQ but Anime does not.
So why pill do you make that comparison pill?
Either you have poor english skills or you F’d up.
Maybe your schizophrenia made you forget again.
Worst VIQ in the world. What part of my statement made u think I said you had a 160IQ. Autists have horrible VIQ.
“Worst VIQ in the world”
So you did fuck up.
Don’t put word together unless they go together pill.
Oh I see it now! Yeah. My bad. But you are autistic and took the comment too literally. I meant autistic kids in general being compared to einstein.
If you had read my 10,000 other comments about you you would have transposed that I don’t believe you have a 160IQ from something humans call ‘common sense’ or even ‘social intelligence’.
The backtracking is crazy, lol.
I believe Gary Larson would have a picture arrangement score of 160 because he makes the images for such tests (Far Side comics)
When I was in foster care for 2 years (14-16) the foster mother did not understand any of the comics I showed her. Even the simplest ones. She was into gambling and was over 40 hispanic.
I recieved $10,000 from my grandmothers trust fund in 2014.
I bought a house, a computer, a bed and published a book.
My house was worth $74,000 in 2014
I have a 30 year fixed rate mortgage at 4.3%
This is the book I published in 2014:
Will Hunting is 256 times faster than the teacher in the movie, Good Will Hunting (IQ 180 vs 140). It took the teacher 6 months to do what Hunting did in 15 minutes. That is assuming 4 hours a day weekends included, working on his problem. Will could write a paper like Einstein’s paper in 11 days.
The ratio of time to understand a paper vs. write a paper is 60 IQ points for an hours worth of work: IQ understanding 1 hour = 4,096 hours of work.
W = 2^12
Fluid Intelligence = 1/W
Crystalized Intelligence = age * (2^((IQ / 100)^5) * W)
Ratio IQ 1/x = ((2^((IQ / 100)^5)) – 1) (multiply or divide) 4.2 billion
pp I think my writing IQ is about 148 (see my grammarly and IQ blog post)
That would mean I have a total vocabulary of 64 thousand words.
ŷ = 0.002X + 19.35827
148 = 0.002(64,320) + 19.35827
I think because I was depressed and because they put me in a group home I lost several IQ points. When the 170 guy came to my house he said my processing speed was normal. And that I was really 118. I think because my vocab is high and my math IQ too, I cannot just be 112 or 103 – I am comparable to my psychiatric doctor in IQ level who is about my age and female. It takes 12 years to become a psychiatrist. Her husband is a software developer. She said I should go back to school. After high school, I did not know what to do with my life because my goals were too hard.
This is what my wais scores would be if I were 118 FSIQ.
at a dinner, a guy made a joke where my wife, another guy and me were the only one smiling or laughing.
Here it is: A math professor comes back from maternity leave. One colleague asks her “it’s a boy or a girl”. She answers: “yes”.
This is the exact type of joke an autistic person would appreciate.
Good for you Philo.
As Charles Baudelaire wrote in substance whom I am to blame the dog for his distasting a bottle of perfume or his liking his own excrements lol
Pretty bad joke, I think, considering it’s so forced that the “question” wasn’t even a question. Also, the kid might be intersex.
Haha it would have been funnier if he said the kid was a hermaphrodite.
When autistic people do ‘comedy’ or ‘philosophy’ its all about literalism. Using math as a language. Just embarrassing. Kripke has written 50 papers that don’t say anything. Literally no content in any paper. You might as well look at a blank page.
Pill what do you think of this popular theory of autism that’s taking the internet by storm:
This ‘theory’ has been known since day 1. Actually the number 1 criteria for autism has always been obsessive focus. Thats why one of the psychiatrists thought I had it because I kept thinking about a certain paranoid topic.
THis also goes back to what I was saying about ‘mental energy’ and how buffet can read 500 pages of trade invoices without getting bored.
The incidence of “autism” (even to a non-pathological extent) in males compared to females may in itself be enough to explain intersexual differences in high-level academic and professional achievement; you don’t even need to invoke the variability hypothesis as it relates to IQ.
Simply, women by and large aren’t wired to sit around and mull over Fermat’s Last Theorem all day, nor do they on average possess the testosterone-induced passion that lends itself to attaining expertise.
The greatest female [sic] game show contestant of all time being trans is a stunning refutation to anti-hereditarian explanation for the achievement gap, although Amy Schneider probably cultivated their trivia chops as a male and wasn’t deterred by the possibility of being hit on by horny nerds at pub trivia night.
Not to be a chauvinist, but it wouldn’t surprise me if half of all nominally female Nobel laureates a decade from now and on are trans.
There is no relation of intelligence and theory of mind to mono-tropism.
There is a mix of all characteristic on spectrum(s) based on personality genes.
Introvert – Extravert
Liberal – Conservative
Autism – Schizo
Abstract – Concrete
Sensitive – Impulsive
Female – Male
Indirect – Forceful
let’s say there are 0,05% autogynephiliac trans M2F with an average IQ of 125, they would be 75 times over-represented at 145 (1 in 10 versus 1 in 750). That mean those could represent 4% of white Nobel Laureates+Field Medals whereas women wich is a bit more than half the women …
LOL Macron just announced he wants to send european soldiers to fight russia in Ukraine. Wow. His masters are stone cold crazy. [redacted by pp, 2024-02-27]
Hahaha Germany immediately released a statement saying they wont send soldiers to Ukraine. Macron might be going psychotic. He needs meds.
Everytime Macron does something or says something I’m actually more and more shocked how French people were gullible and dumb enough to vote for an obvious jew puppet like that.
LOL I just thought of an image in my head of Bruno and Afro rushing from the trenches in Ukraine against the dastardly russians! Hahaha brothers in arms. Haitian and autist voters of Macron. Its what they voted for…so give it to them. Macron should institute conscription tomorrow. Bruno will literally be the first person to turn up to the recruitment drive. Autists are very punctual. Always.
I read some rumours that black companies in armies are basically almost a negative for the army as a whole as they can’t be organised and don’t really have discipline. But the army in america now has a rule that white commanders can’t direct black companies so I guess we end up with the governance of Africa in the US military.
Expect shitloads of corruption and soldiers going AWOL.
“But the army in america now has a rule that white commanders can’t direct black companies”
Source?
CNN
LOL.
That’s what I thought. He’s literally just making shit up now.
CNN said evil white men cannot command black men except in Israel where it is moral.
Sam Bankman Fried just said to the judge that he deserves a 6 year sentence instead of 100 years because he has autism….
Clever jews.
Why is the shirt comment banned?
Man I find math really really boring. Like 90% of neurotypicals I guess.
As a young kid I “liked math” but really I just either liked how easy it was for me compared to others (keep in mind my school district was probably average sub 95 IQ at least). Really the only math I found fun was making up random stats for RPG characters and making power level rankings. I think that’s how a neurotypical would like math, and is really how Asians like math, even though they’re characterized as “good at math”, it’s more about liking numbers go up and comparing things and them being slightly better at naturally due to higher average IQ.
Although of course, there is an appeal for me to certain mathematical problems that are like riddles or have heavy implications on the rest of reality (but that’s because those things appeal to someone more neurotypical I guess).
haz and me aren’t the same person. is haz pill?
rr is haz’s evil twin.
Sometimes I wonder, is it that “merchants” just make money off of the humanity’s natural inclinations for war, or sexual deviances? Hence, they are not to blame for any of it any more than any one partaking in it is?
But then why do so many of them love to create revolutionary and society-destryoing ideas like communism, feminism, anti-Whiteness, etc. and why do they hate traditionalist movements? How do they always end up at the top of power structures, no matter where, unless those structures are very, very carefully guarded?
They exacerbate it. The idea of showing nudity and sex in mainstream film was definitely their innovation. Gentiles used to be very socially conservative going into the 60s just when jews started being allowed into colleges…and we all know what happened next.
I think social liberalism is good in some ways. I agree with some feminism and I suppose not bullying gays is ok. Certain music innovation and allowing blacks to play music to whites was ok too.
Jews basically like things that gypsies like which is social deregulation and people acting like animals. Its fantastic. Lots of freedom.
Jay Joseph and Ken Richardson have a new preprint decimating within/between group heritability and IQ and the arguments made in The Bell Curve.
https://osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/jz7ku
Are MZ cows treated more alike by farmers than DZ cows so that their similarity in other traits would be determined essentially by their lookalike trait ?
that’s not intellectually and theoritaclly impossible but it looks like far-fetched.
a bit like explaining that the cow borned in a stable doesn’t behave like a horse mostly because she is treated as a cow, because she looks like one, and not as a horse. Then all the data showing people treat the cow as a cow and not as a horse would be proof that genetics data are flawed and that it is only this biased environment that establishes those differences without having to prove it because it’s the geneticist theorist to prove his theory and not the person that just deny the prof of heritability. Environement being very thing else.
that’s really Jay and Richardson line of “reasoning” …. It’s kinda of cute in a way lol
Your analogy would make sense if humans were in controlled environments like farm animals are. But they aren’t. So your analogy is nonsense. And here’s a good thread on MZ/DZ cattle.
So you admit that we could in theory measure IQ heritability if we had the power to treat other humans like cattle (which African Americans were treated like)?
I mean, the claim I made is a common one in the literature. We technically do “measure” heritability of traits now, but they’re heavily confounded, and even though—intuitively—it may seem like such an experimen would be valid and show “true heritability” (whatever that means), we know that h2 is context-dependent and not useful for individuals. Such a study would be about perfectly controlling every aspect of the environment as best we could to decrease whatever environmental effect would bias the h2 upwards. But I think a slew of conceptual issues would still even then invalidate such interpretations.
Cattle and humans are quite obviously different in their propensities, and even then, say if we could pass IRB ethics and lock 100 MZs and 100 DZs in a metabolic ward and perfectly control every aspect of the environment, the issue there would be our experiences in society and our interactions with others are extremely meaningful to how we develop as humans. So if that kind of experiment were possible, then the h2s would be way lower than twin, family and adoption studies give us (we see this in animal breeding studies—way lower h2 in those traits than for IQ).
There are also further conceptual issues like the falsity of the addivitiy assumption, GxE, GxG, psychological distress, and the fact that we become human and gain our minds through our interactions with people in broader society would also further confound such interpretations. Since the EEA is false, h2 equals c2, meaning the heritability is shared environment. That’s the best interpretation we have of twin studies. And the missing heritability issue that plagues GWAS and other molecular approaches to trait heritability further throws a wrench in this, since it’s completely possible that GxE (and other interactions) contribute to trait variance, and this—along with epigenetic and non-genetic factors—aren’t accounted for by h2 estimates (since they assume additive independent genetic effects independent of environment). So even if such an experiment were possible and the conceptual issues I raised weren’t an issue, that alone would invalidate the study.
In the end, if such a study were logistically possible and ethical, it wouldn’t show h2 anywhere near twin, family and adoption studies. We’ve basically reached an upper bound on molecular h2 estimates. And of course twins aren’t representative of the general population at large (since they have lower birth weights/injuries and a higher mortality rate). And even then, twins in these studies aren’t even representative of all twins. This is, yet again, a conceptual failure of hereditarianism—the assumption that twin studies will tell us anything about “the genetic architecture” of traits merely due to genetic similarity and being so-called “reared apart.”
I’ll develop my thoughts more on this. Thanks.
” in a metabolic ward and perfectly control every aspect of the environment, the issue there would be our experiences in society and our interactions with others are extremely meaningful to how we develop as humans.”
Yup. Our intelligence makes such an endeavor basically impossible. Humans have different mental reactions to the same environment. Independent of genetics.
Humans aren’t like plants in the sense that we can’t plant you in one environment and that stays your environment your whole life. Our genes and environment are constantly interacting in complex ways. That said, when two people with the same genes are born in different environments, their IQs end up being very similar on average. When two people with different genes are born in the same environment, their IQs end up very different on average.
So at least within a given country, there’s little doubt genes are causing IQ; the only question is are they causing it directly or are they just causing folks to create environments which are the direct cause.
One way to test these theories is to look at IQ heriability in 20th century India where the caste system made it much harder for folks to select their environment & what I found is that the heritability there is still sky high.
Of course people can still shape their environment within their castes but nowhere near as much as they can in the West so we should have seen at least some reduction in heritability if the genetic effects are mediated by environment.
Lol guys in the last thread RR admitted he thinks height isn’t a genetic trait ahahaha. Even a 10 year old knows that.
You’re not knowledgeable enough to give me a cogent comment on my the critique I raised.
Bruno you don’t have to social intelligence to get it, but RR isn’t that stupid to believe this stuff. Hes very rabid about these ideology papers and books because something happened in his personal life.
Nothing happened in my personal life to change my views. It was just reading opposite views of my belief and thinking critically about my then beliefs, and the changing my view.
That said, what’s wrong with the argument they made in the paper?
What motivated you to suddenly start reading opposite views? You should write a memoir, seriously. Call it confessions of a former HBDer. I could help you sell it for a small percentage of the profits.
I used to go to Barnes n Noble every Sunday, buy a book and drink coffee all day and read. I kept seeing DNA is not Destiny and scoffed at it, because I thought it must obviously be wrong. Then I bought it, read it and the argument Heine mounted made sense but I still held onto my views. Then I kept seeing Richardson’s Genes, Brains, and Human Potential and I remember scoffing even more at that title than I did Heine’s. I eventually bought and read it and that was what pushed me over the edge to completely reject hereditarianism. Richardson’s masterful discussion on genes and what they do and do do was critical in my view change, along with his critiques of IQ. Then after that I got I to DST/EES and read Jablonka and Lamb, Moore, Oyama, and others and that further cemented the change in my views. Someone did reach out to me asking me if I would give an interview for a book they’re writing on a similar subject matter. I’m going to do that when I have the time.
RR could not understand that the shapes of magnetic fields matter to chemistry and genetics (my view opposite to his).
He does not change his mind based on reason or evidence.
Do you have any citations? How are you going to tell me I don’t change my mind when I literally changed my mind on hereditarianism and Darwinism? And you had no response to the arguments I mounted on genes as passive causes and the irreducibility of biology to physics and chemistry. But I’m not going to retread old ground here.
Basically rr you cannot understand what magnetic field do at the scale of molecules and atom, so fuck off.
Its more than that. When you challenge RR and demolish his arguments or force him to admit he doesn’t believe in evolution or genetics then he gets sheepish and starts to acknowledge that his views are very extreme. So obviously his cognitive brain knows he’s wrong, but his moral feeling is very strong on making sure the world is just.
Basically, yet again no reference.
TP, you still talking? The EES is a model of evolution that uses DST. Genes are one component of the developmental system and there is no privileged level of causation. You’re just not knowledgeable enough to talk about this.
I don’t want to get too personal but Anime’s aesthetics is exactly like I would have imagined him from the content of his comments.
Puppy what do you think I look like? I’ve described myself many times before and given pictures of people that look like me. Use your photographic memory to recall these ‘data points’.
I picture you slightly short, very thin, narrow shoulders, short black hair, a small head and a fedora hat prancing around the poor sections of Ireland on cloudy days and raising one eyebrow whenever you see someone autistic. I always picture it cloudy in Ireland and the UK in general. I pretty much just picture your avatar because it suits your comments so well. I have trouble thinking of you talking in an Irish accent though. That’s not at all how I hear you in my mind’s ear.
Hahaha
Basically you imagined my avatar because you have zero imagination.
No I have original images of people who don’t have strong avatars, but human looking avatars tend to override any images my brain would otherwise form, especially in your case since the avatar fits your personality so well. Also the way it’s dressed like a Victorian era cowboy fits your 19th century views on race. If dressed like that in an upper class area you’d be laughed it or people would think you walked off the set of a play, but I picture you pulling up a stool in the poorest bars in Ireland where everyone is impaired in some way so they accept you even though you don’t return the favor because you’re a snob who thinks he belongs on Wall Street.
Or are u like Bruno where u cant imagine a person?
Hard to know how good I am at imagining people because I can’t get in anyone else’s brain and see how vivid their images are. But I read and heard about Stephen King novels when I was very young and had very vivid images of what the characters should look like. I remembered being so disappointed when I finally got to see the film adaptation of MISERY because Kathie Bates looked nothing like I pictured the villain. I think I’d be a very good film director, at least of horror films because I understand how that aesthetic should look and feel.
I like King novels as well. I love his short stories. Langoliers was great.
So, some Hollywood gossip from your resident gossip expert.
The director that worked with Weinstein the most was Tarantino. AFAIK, Tarantino is a gentile. He had some great movies in the 90s but IMO he hasn’t made a good movie probably since Jackie Brown or 20 years ago.
His last few movies are just jewish wet dreams like Inglorius Basterds and that movie with Jamie Foxx shooting white southerners. I wouldn’t be surprised if those movies were completely Weinstein’s ideas actually.
Another person that Weinstein is rumoured to be good friends with is the guy that created The Sopranos. If you watch the sopranos, they talk about jews very specifically in 1 or 2 episodes and its clear David Chase is red pilled about the power of jews and their specific nature. In any case, there is a heavy rumour that Chase and Weinstein shared women and aspiring actresses.
Maybe RR would break down crying if he had to acknowledge that blacks are never going to be as civilised as whites or asians. It would make him think the world will never be good. A part of him would feel like the world is too evil or unjust. He would have to stop his crusade to make the world a better place.
Its hard trying to penetrate the psyche of a person with a manbun. Theres a lot of candy floss there. Lots of urges masquerading as thoughts.
60% of french people voted for a person who told them to their face he would make 99% of the population work longer and for lower incomes just to make thwe top1% richer.
Now he wants to send them to fight russians LOL.
I would say Macron is my polar opposite politically. More than Bush or even the neocons.
This will blow Melos mind. But theres a heavy industry rumour from multiple sources that theres a certain jewish record company CEO that forced rappers to suck his dick to get recording contracts and certain rappers are named. The guy is gay so you can infer that he made white and other racial performers do the same thing but his label was one of the first to promote rap starting in the early 90s.
I think officially the guy is still in the closet but everyone in the industry knows the guy is gay.
I mean, I could 100% believe that. There are worse things that happen in the music industry, tbh.
When I was in high school there were 2 gays in my class. Since they weren’t open about it and coming onto guys or grabbing people by the ass nobody bullied them. They were basically ignored. But if they ever started openly doing it, basically they would have got the shit kicked out of them.
You really need to write a book about something. Anything. As you seem to be quite knowledgeable about a lot of things. You could write a book tying together the topics (or some of the topics here if not every topic) discussed on this site if you are not working on iq test.
