Just discovered episodes of Degrassi junior high on on Amazon Prime and decided to watch them. I hadn’t watched this show in thirty years and seeing it again was like being transported back to such an innocent time. A time when no one had cell phones, social media or the internet, guys donned fedora hats, girls wore long scarves, everyone’s hair was caked in hair spray, music was played on record players, and you literally had to dial phone numbers.
This show was such a huge part of my childhood. I remembered counting down the years until I got to seventh grade so I could be the same age as the characters and the same age as my older cousins who watched the show religiously, some of them even living not far from the legendary gentrifying Toronto inner-city where the show took place.
I remember a sissified close friend who wanted to buy a fedora hat and sleeveless jean jacket because he wanted to look just like Joey Jeremiah.
Although the show seems corny by today’s standards, that’s part of it’s charm. Each episode centered around some coming of age dilemma like a girl discovering she’s pregnant, or a beloved teacher suspected of being lesbian, or a mulatto girl getting caught shop-lifting, or an Asian student suspecting he’s been stereotyped, or a supply teacher seducing said mulatto girl, or the school secretary phoning children’s aid because a boy is being being beat by his dad. The show is so pre-internet that she literally looks up Children’s Aid in a deck of alphabetized cards on her desk.
And there’s an authenticity about the characters. They all looked like real kids and real teachers from that era.
And of course the theme song. I remember literally dancing to this as a kid at the start of each episode:

One way they cheat is that they report math and verbal separately and then aggregate both wich is wrong in their 25-50-75 description.

– even if university data were only one third real and two third lies, students with 1560 or more SAT would get 70% chances of being admitted into a top30 university just considering the numbers involved ;

Well in 2013, Harvard’s median SAT (on the readig + math section) was officially reported as 1490 (equivalent to an IQ of 145).
Meanwhile a 2007 study study asked 120 Harvard undergrads (116 responded) to report their best verbal SAT & best math SAT & when I added them it was 1430 (Which at the time equated to IQ 140) and even that might a bit inflated since the numbers are self-reported and they’re cherry picking their BEST score.
On the other hand these were probably mostly psych students so they might be a bit dumber than the other Harvard students, but either way Bruno is probably right about the official numbers being inflated.

So if there are 40k students, it means 20k were in the top 1%. As there is 2,1 million candidates (at most, because some repeat), it would entail that 100% of them have been admitted and joining those 35 universities only.

I suspect the average figure is closer 1 in 25 (1450) and that would mean that top scorers at this 1450 level or above have 25% chances of getting in those elite universities. For law school, a quick checking find it more believable. You have got Yale/Harvard/Stanford/Chicago/Columbia take almost all best students. Their average is 1% (173).
They have 1500 entering students per year. There are 170k test takers, that’s 1700 above 173. So it means they take at 45% of the pool. But if you see the other schools, it drops very quickly to the 167-169 area and starting at the 15th best school, their best 25% is under the top 5%.
So the combination is not unbelievable like what you see with college data.

In 7th grade, we were learning about mass, momentum, speed, velocity, and acceleration but I did not understand much because they did not teach us calculus and how to make what we were learning relevant. we were still learning slope and incline in math class.

I’ve attempted to answer this by looking at samples where people reported both their LSAT scores and their scores on some other test (SAT/ACT/Mega Test).
In two of the studies I did the average LSAT taker equated to an IQ of only about 107 but in the Mega Test score pairing, LSAT takers were around 120 IQ iirc and I have research showing old GRE takers were also around 120.
Either my research has not been very reliable OR there’s been about a 1 SD decline in the quality of people who take the LSAT since the 1980s or so.

5) A wrist watch that comes with fengshui/vaasthu compass and software. Pointing it in various directions tell you which side you need to place objects or build certain features of your house like entrance, windows etc
6) Energy stones: Charge themselves using sunlight. Not hot to the touch and can be used to chargeup phones, watches other various gadgets.
7) A spectacle with a tiny dial on the side of the frame. Turning the dial changes the power of the lenses. You dont need to get a new pair of spectacles everytime your eyesight power changes.
8) A deprinter kind of machine: Thrown in used sheets of paper and it gives you white sheets of paper by removing the ink on them.
