Their disdain for IQ and HBD is not just about propaganda and political correctness, but there’s the idea that once humans crossed over a major cognitive threshold about say 50 kya, the modern mind had evolved, spread to everyone, and any differences that happened since are trivial. In other words, they might acknowledge that some people learn faster and remember more than others, but these quantitative differences pale in comparison to the qualitative similarities in brain structure. I don’t agree with this thinking, but it is based upon science. We know that extreme selection leads to selection limits and that the more selected a trait is, the more homogeneous a population is. We also know that major evolutionary change tends to occur in massive rapid jumps followed by long periods of stasis. See punctuated equilibrium.
Hmmm I tend to think of this in terms of resolution. Once we get above a certain resolution in image quality it is really hard to tell the difference with the untrained eye and in that sense I too agree with this notion. After all we are all human with roughly the same size brain with most people within +-15%. As such there is infinitely more that makes us similar to one another than different. This much i agree with, however the differences really start to jump out at us once we start ranking ourselves in terms of cognition. At that point those imperceptible differences in resolution start to matter and can be the difference between 1 in a million and 1 in 2. As such I think this theory is mostly bunk.

This can give someone the false impression that there is really no difference between that 145 IQ individual and that 120 IQ individual since they both attend the same top tier university and are in the same STEM field( in essence they both belong to the same club). Surely then IQ doesn’t matter after a certain point, right? Wrong!

Do you understand quantum physics? That might not be a fair question since most physicists don’t truly understand quantum physics but lets try something else…would you agree that we can rank concepts and ideas and various problems in order of difficulty? So for example algebra is more difficult than addition, right? Partial differential equations are more difficult than algebra, right? Then there’s number theory, mathematical physics and so on and so forth. So lets say we got a set of avid math students(so as to ensure that there is no bias here, all these students love math) and we put them through a regimented course of all these topics and then test them. What do you think we could infer from this little experiment? Could we perhaps rank the topics from easiest to hardest? Also could we rank the students from best performing to worst performing based on their test scores? Could we perhaps find a correlation between students in terms of their rank and performance on the tests in terms of their level of difficulty? In other words would the best performing students tend to outpace the others more as the difficulty in subject increases? All those are rhetorical questions, of course we could and therein lies the concept/correlation of IQ and ability to understand complex topics. Of course there won’t be a perfectly linear relationship but the correlation will be there and hard to ignore. The higher the IQ the greater the ability to understand complex topics(faster and more thoroughly) simple as that. There will come a point that some topics will simply go over the heads of most students and yet a select few will excel at them.

Sounds like prolonged depression/stress. Your brain is either over-stressed and over-worked and so it basically shuts down in order to recover(chronic dehydration and lack of sleep can also do this as they tend to shrink the frontal lobe) or you might be slumped into a prolonged period of depression which seriously dampens the regular function of your brain and neurotransmitter activity. This leads to brain fog and a feeling of constantly searching for your former better self but you feel like no matter how hard you try its not happening quite like it used to, like someone dimmed the lights. Try to find ways to de-stress yourself and lighten your mood and head off whatever it is that causes you to slip into this state of mind/being. Regular sleep(7-8 hours), good nutrition and finding sources of inspiration can also make a huge difference.
Note that as we age our ability to reach our peak and stay there begins to be compromised. Doesn’t mean it’s all down hill after that just that you need to be a little more mindful of your psychology/mood and general health. Like an old car, there is no reason it cannot run like new with a little care and maintenance its just that with time that care and maintenance needs to become more and more frequent, if we neglect that the car starts to break down.
As for your trouble thinking in pictures/words has this always been the case or is this a recent development? Personally I mostly think in pictures, more often than not i get an image or a conceptualization that is mostly image based mixed in with memories and nuanced emotions and then I try to find the words to convey whatever it is i need to convey to other people. It’s really hard to describe almost synesthesia-like(without the discordant mixing of the senses) and quite vivid(or at least it used to be) and somehow my brain finds a way to make sense of it.
The weird thing is sometimes the images are not related to what I’m saying at all. For example i might be describing something and I’ll get an image of a street in London I used to frequent. Along with it i get emotions that are associated somehow with that time and place but like i said sometimes i cannot seem to find the link of why that image popped up in my head while I’m describing something completely unrelated. Nevertheless the image/memory/emotion is almost always positive and so I think it’s my brain looking for inspiration during a period of momentary fatigue or mild distress. The weird thing is this image, well, more like world my mind enters into doesn’t seem to tax my brain or distract me at all and occurs simultaneously with whatever it is that I’m doing while giving me an energy kick. It may also be that while searching for the words memories and cognitive tools that I need to express what is on my mind my brain runs into a fond memory and decides to stay there a while and indulge itself.
Weird, I know, but it kind of works for me while I can re-focus if I need to do something really important. I suppose it’s a daydream of sorts in real time which reminds me, dreaming and in particular daydreams are very important for mental health. As long as you can manage them well and not let it distract you from the real world particularly if you have an important task at hand its good to allow your mind to wonder every now and then, it’s great for inspiration. Just don’t let other people catch you doing it, for some reason society and some people in particular are very unforgiving with this sort of thing which I think is quite a shame, without these moments of inspiration and sometimes gateway to profound insight my personal world would be a much poorer place.

Well IMO one would have to be incredibly naive to think that Gates is who we see being portrayed in the media. That is one thing, secondly it is virtually impossible to become a billionaire without having a killer instinct of sorts. Now the question is whether this foundation is thoroughly a non profit organization or is there something going on there that we do not know.
At this point I cannot say one way or the other(more heavy research is required) but here is what I do know:
1. He’s been on about vaccinations for over a decade now warning us of the next killer virus.
2. Appears to back this notion that CV is this civilization ending virus(it is nothing of the sort) even being heavily in support of a prolonged lockdown despite the effects this will have on the economy.
3. One might think that economic crashes are thoroughly bad and unfavorable for everyone but that is not true. Any investor worth their salt knows that there are incredible investment opportunities during a market crash provided you have enough cash on hand to buy the dip. Warren Buffet once said “We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.”
4. Warren Buffet through BH just prior to this crash for some reason was sitting on massive amounts of cash 128 billion to be exact and for a while now analysts couldn’t quite work out why he wasn’t investing it. Now we know, he was waiting for the dip!
5. Bill Gates is heavily invested in Berkshire Hathaway. Make what you will of that.
6. The WHO appears to be a problematic organization as it has been shown as of late with the way they handled the CV crisis. Poor handling from day one, with an inexplicable kid gloves approach with China.
7. Bill Gates donated 10 billion to the WHO in the past, make what you will of that information.
Now make no mistake, it would be quite an undertaking to take that information and fabricate a robust substantive conspiracy theory and given that I’m not one to indulge too heavily in conspiracy theories I’ll leave it to those with more time on their hands, but something seems off here. It doesn’t take a genius to come to a natural conclusion that our friend Bill possibly pushed this world ending virus notion over the decade to predispose the public and then pushed the right buttons to have this “flu-like” virus pegged as a serious threat. Countries panic, start taking their lead from China and enforce full lockdowns, the economy grinds to a screeching halt, stocks plummet and in comes Bill Gate’s buddy Warren Buffet and cleans up the market at a massive discount. Some people also seem to think that Gates also did this to profit from his shares in pharmaceutical companies as they pushed a life saving vaccine to billions of people but even though I do not discount this I think the primary goal would have been to create the conditions in order to be able to buy into the market for dirt cheap prices. If you are into crypto-currencies you will know that this sort of thing occurs ALL the time where big investors known as whales plunge the prices by dumping hundreds of millions over a short period of time and then when the prices are low enough they buy back in for a massive profit as the prices move back up again.
Like I said, Bill is a smart guy a very smart guy and on the whole probably a force for good in the world but I am not remotely naive enough to think that he’s not capable or even willing to engage in this sort of market manipulation. As for the virus itself and whether it was created in a lab, I’m not sure, like I said to ascertain this would require a deep dive into CV fact finding. However I think that would be a bit of a stretch and truly evil if China or Bill or whomever purposely created this in the lab and unleashed it on to the world. No its likely either a lab error or just another virus(of hundreds) that is making the rounds, but since we were told constantly that the boogeyman was coming the boogeyman was coming well with the first shadow in the night we found our boogeyman.

A good example to consider is the Greek world, which up until 700-800 years ago was the dominant power in Europe for at least 2000 years up until that point(with a relatively brief period of about 500 years when the Romans took over). By the first milennium Rome was but a distant memory(600 years) and the Byzantine empire(or East Roman Empire, depending on how you want to look at it) was the seat of power and knowledge and all this with ever increasing religious fundamentalism in Europe mind you. However wave after wave of Mongol conquest and then Seljuk Turk and Ottoman attacks Constantinople eventually fell in 1453 which by then was effectively relegated to city state status anyway. All the Greek scholars escaped out into Western Europe and along with them their knowledge and meticulous book keeping. Now I’m not saying that without the Greeks western Europe would not have seen the Renaissance or Enlightenment but the Greek scholars sure helped and since the Greek world was under Ottoman rule and out of the competition for 400 years we saw the rise and prominence of western Europe.
Once again that is not to take anything away from what they achieved but we need to put this in perspective and the correct context while at the end of the day it is all attributable to western civilization anyway of which the Greeks were the progenitors :p
Now one might argue that I am splitting hairs here as Greeks are mostly of European stock(despite what some people might think) and well if not one European race taking the lead then its another(Greeks->Romans->Greeks->Western Europe->European Americans) but I’m giving this example to show that luck does play an important factor even between genetically related peoples. However once we go outside the loose lines of race we unfortunately do see a marked differentiation and in some cases reduction in achievement particularly with Africans. I say unfortunately because I simply have nothing against them but as much as I wish they had created something comparable to Europe(some people go to great lengths to fabricate this) the facts simply do not show it.
So here’s where I stand axiomatically:
a) There is great variance in nature and in the animal kingdom and this is to a great
degree influenced by the environment, on an evolutionary scale that is.
b) There is no reason to believe that this variance does not apply to human beings.
c) This variance is starkly visible between individuals(compare a dumb person to a
genius, no one can deny the difference) and is quantifiable instinctively and
empirically.
d) The same quantifiable measures can be applied to large population sets.
e) While I personally would give Africans more credit than they are given by some
people the gap is unfortunately too great to be explained away completely by
circumstance.
Conclusion: While I’m generally averse to using the word superiority(not only because it has been tainted but also because it doesn’t feel right intellectually and is not remotely accurate enough to denote what any sensible person can infer) I will use terms like competence or excellence. So on the topic of intelligence Europeans are on the upper levels(compared to other races) or one could say they are intellectually more competent and this competence is to a great degree innate. Not the smartest, East Asians and some sub groups like Ashkenazis are smarter(though some would argue that Ashkenazis are European enough anyway), but smart enough…though not smart enough that words like superiority and white should be used in the same sentence.
The gap between what? Identities that are shaped post hoc to fit a narrative.

First of all not all deaths counted in the UK are deaths because of CV, at least 14%(by the UK government office of national statistics) are deaths with CV not because of it. That is a massive distinction. For example someone could be dying of cancer, on his last throws, catches the virus in the hospital and gets counted as a CV death.
Secondly as seen with the US a huge percentage are counted as CV deaths without even testing for the virus even, simply based on the doctor’s assumptions. In the US my guess is that about 30% of deaths are erroneously counted as CV deaths.
With some nations the virus gets into old age homes and leaves a massive death toll. This will skew the data greatly and so a good statistician will adjust the figures to represent the general population of a nation rather than let it be skewed by some unfortunate events where it takes out hundreds in one place alone. New York, London, Stockholm are such cases with many large old age homes.
Also based on the health care system, age profile and general health of a nation city or town, the death rate can vary. This means that the ~0.1% death rate won’t apply everywhere, in some places it can be as high as 0.3% and others as low as 0.05%. Using New York, London or some badly effected nations as the benchmark is unscientific. One needs to look at the world as a whole or at least a representative sample of a nation.
As for the UK’s infection rate, well, it may actually be as high as 40 – 50% when all is said and done. NYC’s most recent figure was 25% of only those with antibodies, with a test mind you that had a 93% specificity meaning 7% false negatives. If we add that 7% and also account for the current cases(prob 10%) then NYC could by 40%+ perhaps even as high as 50%. Nevertheless, like I said some places will have a slightly different death rate, ranging from 0.05% to possibly 0.3%. If the UK is averaging 0.15% this implies that the infection rate in the UK is around 27%. I think it is even higher than that but 27%at least, is quite likely. An IFR of 0.15% is within the range of a severe influenza season. Adjust for the 14% “with CV” deaths then the IFR drops even more(0.13% with a 27% infection rate).
On the other hand there could also be corona deaths that are not counted, because when an old person dies alone, the cause of death is often unknown.
Possibly but not nearly to the degree that is required to offset the erroneously counted deaths. As it stands any death that is merely suspected to be due to CV is counted towards the total which also likely applies to deaths outside the hospitals too. In the US UK and France there have been days in which the death count jumped massively and this(in the case of France for sure) was because old age homes where found abandoned with hundreds of deaths. Most if not all those deaths were attributed to CV even if no test was done to confirm this. In other words hospitals and doctors are encouraged to bypass death certificate protocol(ie autopsy, medical examiner etc) and in some cases even incentivized(hospital funding increases as their CV death count increases) to count CV deaths loosely and generously.
So as it stands there is absolutely no scenario in which big cities(particularly in the US) would have a death count that underestimates the true death count and if you asks me overestimates it by about 30%. In smaller countries and cities with much much fewer deaths overall more care is taken to ascertain exactly the numbers that have died because of CV and not with it. Greece is one example where the deaths are very low more manageable and meticulous care is taken to correctly count the CV deaths so much so that the death tally on some days decreased due a re-evaluation of the circumstances of the deaths.
I imagine that once the dust settles, serious scientists will re-evaluate the data/deaths and if the government is honest the final tally will shrink considerably.
If it turns out that the IFR is between 0.1 – 0.2% as a lot of studies are pointing towards, then this Bill Gates character could be one of two things,
a) not remotely as smart as he has been pegged to be.
or
b) one seriously insidious motherf###er!
My instincts are worryingly gravitating towards b) despite my best efforts to remain level headed, distanced from conspiracy theories and meticulously factual. Some things are just too hard to ignore or rationalize away.
Granted there are studies with somewhat credible IFRs around 0.3% towards a max of 0.4%(NYC) nevertheless even if we took the average of all serious credible studies so far they would average out at around 0.2% and while that would trouble most epidemiologists it probably would not compel them to “shut it all down”(Sweden’s approach would likely be the most appropriate).
Time will tell. I sure hope our dear friend Billy set some money aside for a rainy day because if my instincts turn out to be right, Microsoft will take a massive tumble and he will go from revered noble philanthropist to persona non grata and no amount of media spin will save his reputation.
