Some random thoughts:
Black national merit scholar G-man mentioned some claims by Jordan Peterson (why is everyone suddenly talking about him?) about the uselessness of people below 83 IQ (below 80 is what he means, since that’s about the 10th percentile below which you can’t qualify for the military).
The fact that the armed forces, despite its desperate need for recruits, would turn away the bottom 10% of the IQ distribution is a testament to the incredible validity of IQ. If IQ were merely measuring social class, why would a low score make you completely useless during times of war?
The man interviewing Peterson suggests that with enough education and training, low IQ people could eventually become adaptable creative problem solvers, but Peterson is having none of it, saying the research is crystal clear.
I also saw this interesting discussion about slavery:
As a little kid I believed whites just walked into Africa and started catching blacks in traps, much like humans do to animals. Believing blacks were dehumanized in this way, makes it easy for people to believe in HBD.
However as I got older I read that in most cases blacks were sold into slavery. It’s easy to say she should just retire and enjoy her grandkids, but when you’re entire identity (FOR DECADES) has been people claiming you’ll be the first woman president, and then to come so close to achieving that dream twice (only to have it snatched away both times) is traumatic. I seem to excel in “talking” due to higher verbal IQ and openness. When I give advice to people or talk about something, people me quite fascinating and interesting/intellectual. However, my social skills are quite poor and score low in empathy and reading social situations (also introverted) so it’s hard to make a killing in sales/marketing. Also suck in general at working in teams due to my low agreeableness and conscientiousness.

I’ve never been good at math or STEM despite being Chinese, I have a Jewish IQ profile. I want to double down on my strengths which seems to be in the verbal arena.
Historically, some Chinese are descended from the Arabs, Persians and people of the Steppes.
Ironically, Japan is the most technologically advanced East Asian nation, but no one thinks of the Japanese as STEM nerds, usually reserved for the Chinese.
Could it be that the Chinese are strong individual strivers, weak social organizers and weak performers? Based on my observation, the Chinese act like tribal blacks while the Japanese are more Aryan in nature (having better social organization and a higher degree of competence)?
People who are tribal also tend to be messy and less intelligent. Furthermore, one dimensional Chinese are boring the same way blacks are boring, just another description for a lack of curiosity and a lack of diverse talent as a group.
No one thinks of Japanese as being good at STEM??? I don’t know about that.
In the flipside, Japanese tend to do better in the biological/chemical sciences than Chinese (going Nobel/Craaford prizes). They’re like the Chinese in that they like to copy the West but they can innovate on their own, too.
