J.P. Rushton argued East Asians have the least testosterone, Blacks have the most and Caucasoids are in between. However this claim has been challenged in recent years by East Asians who didn’t want to have less T than whites and whites who didn’t want less T than blacks. Even though Rushton saw high T and sexual potency as primitive traits, millions of young men equate sex with self-worth and so their fragile egos can’t handle a low T racial stigma.
People really need to get a life.
I don’t have time to review all the research folks have done so I just did a quick search and found this graph:
It seems that among single graduate students, Rushton’s hierarchy is confirmed, with Blacks enjoying more T than whites who have more T than East Asians.
However among grad students in relationships, East Asians tower in T. Perhaps that’s just an artifact of the small sample size of those in relationships, or perhaps because of anti-Asian discrimination by women, only the most hyper-masculine Asians are able to date (on average). The theory implied by the study authors is that being in a relationship increases T for East Asians, but lowers it for non-Asian men.
But if testosterone levels can fluctuate that much just from being in a relationship, it sounds like too unstable a variable to be of much relevance to racial differences.
Perhaps a more interesting trait is 2D:4D ratio– Length of your second digit compared to your fourth digit. The higher the ratio, the higher your femininity (on average) because you were prenatally bathed in more estrogen than testosterone. In contrast, low 2D:4D ratio suggests more prenatal T exposure relative to estrogen, and thus more masculinity.
According to this blog post, low 2D:4D ratios predict aggression, fatherhood, early marriage, promiscuity, athleticism, risk taking, alcoholism, autism, spatial ability, ADHD, facial masculinity, penis length and prostate cancer.
It may also predict muscle mass.
High 2D:4D ratios predict smoking, obesity and verbal fluency.
Some of these correlations support theories I have proposed or endorsed. Others may challenge those theories.
How does this fit with Rushton’s theory? The Inductivist Blog claims:
It turns out that there are large ethnic differences in the 2D:4D ratio…According to the results of one study, “The Oriental Han had the highest mean 2D:4D, followed by the Caucasian Berbers and Uygurs, with the lowest mean ratios found in the Afro-Caribbean Jamaicans.” In plainer language, Hans were the most feminized and Jamaicans the most masculine.
I don’t have time to vet all these claims. Some of the research might be old and may be overturned by newer larger studies, and even the true correlations might be small or non-causal.

No shit the intelligent part of rap rarely comes from the instrumentals It’s from the lyricism and flow. Usually there is a drum line(with extra melodies in the background) with the only main difference being a slight snare and kick placement with a changed tempo. Either way Kendrick has an incredibly versatile flow and neither of these songs had the same one.
You mentioned you like jazz and rap fusion which is something kendrick does a lot however the videos you’ve seen are only him featuring a verse on someone else’s track or using trap beats from Mike Will.

That’s actually why oldschool is considered better. The beats are gritty and realistic, and you had to be more reliant on your own flow, you couldn’t depend on the beat to carry you like nowadays. Plus it made lyricism almost necessary because it was the main form of entertainment versus a sparkly hook and beat. You can’t tell me Wutang’s flow wasn’t crazy

Kendrick’s Wesley’s Theory has a old school vibe but it completely belongs to contemporary rap. One thing that accounts for a large part of the difference is instrumentation, modern rap uses synth sounds whereas old rap mostly used actual instruments, which limited the range of musical possibilities. But I still like some Tupac, Biggie & cie, they have a lot of classics. But there are so many new acts to discover and follow that it’s impossible to remain stuck to a couple artists from any era.
I dont agree with melo about many things and i havent listened to run dmc or 80s rap. But the early 90s with nas, ll cool j and tribe are superior musically .

Philosopher, Mulholland drive is the story of an aspiring actress who goes to Hollywood and failed. Don’t confuse differential K theory with r/K selection theory. The former was created by Rushton, and thus never accepted by the academic establishment.
Except Rushton completely reversed the r and K selection. r selection occurs when an organism enters a novel environment. Furthermore, Rushton’s says that there were “endemic diseases” in the African Pleistocince. The same with Asia, yet provides no references. Furthermore, endemic disease is actually an agent of K selection.
If theoretical ecologists do not find the concepts of r- and K-selection straightforward, we might wonder whether this is the best area of ecology for psychologists to try to apply to human populations.

I think Mugabe is missing a beat on evolution. Theres a theory I’v privately had, and I think has been put forward in the past 5 years of group genetic evolution.

Testosterone is not well known enough. You should simply say Blacks are the most masculine & Asias the least. In term of deep voice, muscularity, personality, sexual organs… etc.
