Now taking thus into controversial territories, can this in some small part explain why the modern races have differentiated on traits? I’ve read that East Asians are among many other ways, defined by the lack of alleles common in most other places while Amerindians are among many other ways, defined by the presence of additional alleles which aren’t common in other populations.
On a side note: if Asian chicks had bodies like Latinas in their prime and bussoms of Northern European chicks then they’d definitely be the hottest race. It would be all over for women of other races.

I find both high and low levels of prognathism (relative to the white racial mean) to be unattractive.

I want to add that Whites have numerous facial features that boost their apparent neoteny while being the opposite. Large brows are not neotenous but they lead to double eyelids. Long and x-axis portruding noses (“tall”) that tend to make the front profile look more neotenous (evolved). Less hair which makes the forehead appear larger as less of it is covering it. Longer eyebrows that stretch towards the temples that might make the eyes appear larger (accentuate). We might be able to also assume that these “deceptively” evolved features come packaged with truly neotenous features (if biology has some sort of inherent symmetrizing) adding to the evolved look of White people.

There’s finally been a study of identical twins reared in totally different developed countries like you wanted (U.S. vs South Korea). Sadly the sample size is tiny (one twin pair). The South Korean scored 15 points higher than her twin in the U.S. on the WAIS-IV however they think this is because the U.S. twin had concussions. Their personality scores were the same though iirc.

Incest is a special case. I’m not sure if thats relevant to all mating. What I would say even in the incest case is that ashkenazim also did a lot of cousin marriage during the middle ages and their IQs went up double digits.

Am I mistaken in thinking that you don’t believe that intelligence can be measured (on an interval or ratio scale)? If so, do you deny that individuals can at least be rank-ordered by intelligence?
A statement such as, “Noam Chomsky is more intelligent than Joe Rogan” is obviously meaningful and true (and people have spoken this way since at least the time of Aristotle). Why? Well, because Chomsky excels in those domains which are held to characterize intelligence.
I don’t believe that intelligence is the culture-relative construct that you seem to take it for. In any society which isn’t altogether primitive, those who are capable of analyzing and synthesizing formal arguments, of writing clearly and grammatically, and of working with figures are held to be ‘intelligent’. You might object that stone age populations define intelligence differently, but their very backwardness should preclude even the possibility of our taking their definition seriously.

Even after adjusting for body size their brains were still somewhat bigger than ours. Doesn’t necessarily mean they were smarter though as brain size is only one factor, and the Northeast Asian > Native American IQ gap suggests non-hunter gatherers continued to cognitively evolve. Either that or Native Americans had backwards evolution, perhaps because they had two whole continents full of resources and unprepared prey all to themselves, thus relaxing selection pressures.
PP, I know that you’re well aware that the correlation between brain size and I.Q. is only moderate, even after adjusting for body mass. I do think that genotypic I.Q. has probably declined in the Mediterranean and the Levant since Late Antiquity (perhaps even the time of Christ), but to push the beginning of that decline back to the paleolithic is absurd.
This explains the ascent of Northern Europe over Southern Europe, and, within the Italian Peninsula itself, of the germanized Northern Italians over their southern countrymen (whom they have treated like garbage for centuries).
I suspect that the Chinese suffered a similar decline in intelligence in the centuries leading up to the Mongol conquests. The subsequent infusion of Mongol DNA didn’t improve matters.
All of this is consistent with my hypothesis that the loss of cases in the evolution of Vulgar Latin (properly, Sermo Vulgaris) into the romance languages reflects the regression of Southern Europeans to a more simian level.
